California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Last updated: July 2026
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), you have the right to direct a business that sells or shares your personal information to stop doing so. Here is how that works on Ads By Virtue.
We do not sell your personal information
Ads By Virtue does not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not share your personal information with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. This is a deliberate policy choice that aligns with both our Shariah compliance commitments and our privacy-first engineering philosophy.
The full details of how we handle personal information are in our Privacy Policy, specifically Section 3 ("How We Share Your Information") and Section 5.1 (CCPA rights).
Opting out of future sharing
Even though we do not currently sell or share your personal information, the CPRA defines "sharing" broadly to include any disclosure of personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, even without money changing hands. If our practices ever change, we will update this page and notify users by email before the change takes effect.
To proactively opt out of any future sale or sharing, submit a request using the form on this page. Select "Opt out of sale or sharing (CCPA)" as the request type. We will record your opt-out preference on your account and apply it to any future processing that would otherwise constitute a sale or share.
Other CCPA rights
- Right to know what personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months.
- Right to delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to limit the use of your sensitive personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not charge you more, provide a different level of service, or suggest that you will receive a different level of service because you exercised a CCPA right.
These rights can all be exercised through our Privacy Requests portal.
Authorized agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. The agent must provide signed permission (a written authorization or power of attorney) and we may still require you to verify your identity directly. Agents should email privacy@adsbyvirtue.com with the subject "Authorized Agent — CCPA Opt-Out."
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
Ads By Virtue honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends the Sec-GPC: 1 header, we treat it as a permanent opt-out request and suppress any future sale or sharing of your personal information, even if our practices never change. You do not need to submit the form below if you have GPC enabled.
